Elmo wrote Tripp another song... HIS VERY OWN personalized SONG.
I'm such a proud Momma,
and just when I think that I couldn't love Elmo (Kevin Clash:) any more- I receive THIS CD in the mail today--
And here is the song-
I added the pictures because I didn't know how else to share it from a CD other than creating a movie/slideshow.
Tell me that is not the sweetest thing you've ever heard?
He is playing the drums with my little man- and then pausing so Tripp can drum to the beat!
Amazing. Tripp loves it- but it's going to take him a few days to be able to play along, I think:)
He's good, but not that good! So be patient and hopefully I can catch him on video drumming along with ELMO to his VERY OWN song!
We love you, Elmo. You are the BEST.
I want to send a very very special thank you as well to Elmo's assistant, Kimi for keeping contact with us and always trying to make our days special and also JP, Katherine, Ralph, and Louis for putting the cd together for us- the graphics, lyrics, etc! You guys on Sesame Street are the BEST:)
I wish Tripp could meet you all and drum for you!
Oh and don't miss my new post below this one!!
Two posts in one day?! Record.

Love,
That is adorable! It's nice that Elmo takes time out of his busy day to make Tripp happy. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been stalking your blog forever, but never comment. The town I live in has a shop with a certain material of clothing for EB kids. I would love to send Tripp some as an early Christmas present!
God Bless you,Courtney and Tripp prayer every day for ya'll :O)
ReplyDeleteGreat song!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a NICU nurse, and my primary baby, who was born extremely early, has been super sick for months, was finally stable enough to come off the ventilator today after months of being intubated! It was an awesomely emotional day at work, and coming home and seeing this post made it even better!
I'm currently working on an EB protocol for babies for my NICU unit (with the help of Bella's awesome nurse Tanya!), and although it won't be ready for this year's EB awareness week, it should be ready for next year!
Holy CRAP! Can I say that on here? :P Seriously, that is SO AWESOME!!!!!!!! I love Elmo all over again.
ReplyDeleteThat is seriously awesome. For some reason it made me cry!!! I am so happy that Elmo could make Tripp smile!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!! :) Sharing the EB story today in honor of awareness week! Hugs to you and Tripp!

ReplyDeleteI love that Elmo!! Music moves the soul! Thats some great Music In Motion!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI am finally posting...I have been reading every. last. post. on your blog over the last week. I saw a link to your blog on Pinterest and followed it, and got sucked into dear Tripp's story. I can't get y'all out of my head. I think about you and your little man every day. I find myself singing Shoo Fly, all. the. time. You have inspired me to be a better mother, to appreciate what I have, and that one voice CAN make a difference! I guess this is rambly and weird, but just add one more cheerleader to the team rooting you on! Can't wait to make and send an ornament for Tripp's Christmas tree!
ReplyDeleteElmo is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down, the best little monster ever! I absolutely cannot WAIT until you can post a video of Tripp playing along with this song!
ReplyDeleteThat is very awesome. It really is fantastic that someone that famous took the time to do that for Tripp. I also wanted to let you know since i stumbled upon your blog the other day Ive put Tripp and your family in our familys prayers.
ReplyDeleteElmo really is THE BEST!! That has to be the most thoughtful gift Tripp has ever received! It's so perfect for him. :) And to include a part where Tripp can drum along? It's so genius! I can't wait to see Tripp drumming along to this one! I know he'll be able to drum to it in record time because he's the drumming master! You just wait and see Mama!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us, Courtney! It's so awesome! As always, sending you all my love, hugs, and prayers.

ReplyDeleteoh man, every time I check your blog I end up crying.. and not just a few tears, but many -streaming down my face, making it hard to read your words on the page.
ReplyDeleteElmo wrote another song? Drumming with Tripp?!! WOW. SO INCREDIBLE AND SWEET and yet, I know Elmo feels privileged that HE can bring a smile to sweet Tripp's face. Your son is amazing and he continues to inspire =). Lots and lots of love to both of you,
Emily
I'm sure someone has brought this to your attention, but Kevin (Elmo) has been out promoting his book/documentary on T.V. With such the nice things he's done for Tripp, it's certainly worth the look. Here is his interview on Jon Stewart. http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-october-24-2011/kevin-clash
ReplyDeleteMake me want to buy his book and see his documentary! We love Elmo!
AWESOME! Love Elmo and Kevin....
ReplyDeleteThis is just so wonderful! Love it. As always, you are all in my prayers.
ReplyDeletePlaying this today to brighten the mood
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Mother you are! May you find peace with his memories and know that he is one special little man. God brought him to you and vice versa. Thoughts and prayers are with you.
My heart and prayers go out to you and your family... Tripp is an inspiration even now. I have been trying to decide if I should try to learn drums. Now after seeing him in your slideshow I am definitely going to learn how. I even know a guy from church who said he would teach me. I love Elmo and his song is awesome! Iknow that Tripp is drumming in God's band and keeping a special eye on all of you. I am disabled from a car crash and in therapy to regain mobility. I hope that blessings will pour onto you and your mom and everyone that helped you
ReplyDeleteDrew
