Video and Link to WWLTV newscast.

  Hey guys!
First of all I want to say THANK YOU (which seems kind of lame, considering) to everyone who helped spread the word about Tripp's news story. There was such a huge response and we are so incredibly blessed that it's almost hard to believe. I was very pleased with it (except for my singing, of course:) and I'm so thankful for the people who took it upon themselves to make this possible (Dianne and Abby:).
Tripp is one lucky little boy to have so many people who love and care about him.
And I know that he understands me when I tell him how many people out there are praying for him.
Thank you ALL so much for the prayers, the kind words, the encouragement, and the awareness that is being spread.
And as time goes on, I know that we will only need more prayers and more support.
That's why I am so grateful to have such an amazing support system- that only gets stronger by the day.

SO, if you are not local, or you missed the newscast... you can watch the story HERE at wwltv.com ... or in the video I posted below.  They are both the same, so which ever one works best.
There is also the article below the video on the website link above.

A special thanks to Mr. Bill Capo and Mr. Brian (the photographer/videographer) from WWL Channel 4. You both made this experience unforgettable for me.  Thank you for treating us so nice.
This is something that I will treasure forever.

My little "Angel Baby" had a pretty rough day today.  I guess the "good days" are starting to wear off.  But this is what always happens- a few good days here and there, then a few bad months.  His eyes are giving him a lot of trouble- more with each day.  And each day he is closer and closer to losing his vision.  So if you are someone who likes to pray specifically... his eyes need your prayers the most!  I know it's unrealistic of me to think that he can have "good days" all the time, but I've sure enjoyed these past few days that he has been playing. I wish they could last forever!
What a special little boy Tripp is...  I am blessed.

Love,
Photobucket

  2. Courtney,

You are one amazing and strong woman! Your strength through this circumstance just helps me have the strength to get through my own heath problems. I know that no matter how much pain I may be in, it is nothing compared to precious little Tripp.
The story tonight brought tears to my eyes and caused my heart to ache because I just can't imagine how you do it all!
Tripp is so blessed to have you as his Mommy! He is one loved little boy! If I could meet you and Tripp and I would!

  4. Wow, Courtney! That was an amazing insight into your daily life. I feel like we have been so privileged to be allowed into yours and Tripp's lives. The footage just reinforced what an amazing family Tripp has and what a fantastic little guy he is.
You were just as I expected you to be....honest and loving. We get to see Tripp with the little videos you post, but it was great to see the Mum behind the lens.
Thanks for sharing, not only through this blog, but also on State TV.
You are the epitome of motherhood.
You, Tripp and your families are in my hearts and my prayers.

  20. I have been following your blog for some time now but haven't posted before... I guess I just didn't quite know how to get my humble admiration for you put down into words. You are AMAZING! I read your blog and am in awe of all that you do and all that sweet Tripp has to endure. He brightens my day just seeing his handsome face. You and Tripp have been in my prayers and I have been sharing Tripp's story and what EB is with my family and friends. My 3yr old Alyvia just LOVES to see Tripp's videos and photos on here, too. She has been keeping him in her prayers, as well. My heart goes out to you so much. This video brought tears to my eyes. You are such an awesome Momma and Tripp is one AMAZING little guy! Sending you big ((hugs)) from CA.

  21. Courtney,

Many of my friends have posted about your story on facebook (I'm from Ponchatoula) and I also saw your story on wwl and decided to read your blog. From beginning to end! While it took me all day, I did it! I have to say it was very neat reading your first few entries and reading about your wishing certain things for your son (such as the doctors making house calls) and then seeing those things take place in your more recent blog posts! I cried, laughed, and was in just awe through most of your blog posts! I added y'all to our prayer request at church tonight! I will be praying for y'all as well as the medical team involved in his treatments/visits!!!

I especially love to watch the videos of him because you really get to see his true personality when he's in motion. Someday, in heaven he'll have a body that doesn't hurt. However, I hope that he has has long and as happy as possible life on earth first.

  35. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. As a mom whose son also spent every day of his life in pain (not from EB) I felt your words very much in my heart. It takes the most unselfish person to just want him out of pain, even when your heart won't let you hear what those words really mean.

    Much love from Texas,
    Kat
